Ellen: Hey, everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Today we're taking a look at the RV cabinet door struts. These are going to be a pair and they're going to come with all the hardware that you need to get them installed. Basically, these are just going to be the little supports that help to hold up your cabinet door whenever you're getting inside there and finding anything. It's going to have a spring inside there that's going to provide the tension to keep that cabinet door open while you get inside and get all your items without that door coming and bonking you on the head and then it does pivot here at the bottom as well, so as you close that door, that strut can move where it needs to go.The end here does swivel a little bit so you can get that where you need it to be.
It should come with instructions to help make sure that you get the right alignment that you need. Let's take a little closer look at these guys. They're just going to be a plastic construction. Nothing too fancy, a pretty basic little shock or a little strut. You can see that tension as I push down.
It does go in there, so it's going to provide some weight resistance for that cabinet door to keep it open.As far as measurements go, both of these are going to have the same length, which is about 6 1/4 inch long from end to end. Whenever you have the strut pushed all the way in, it's a bit smaller than that, obviously, and it's about 5 1/2 inches. It's kind of hard for me to measure this at the same time. The pivot, that's going to be about an inch tall at that angle there. Flip this around to the other side so that you can actually see that.
It's about an inch tall from the bottom to the center of that pivot point. The end is about roughly 1 1/2 inches. Just a little shy of 1 1/2 and then about 7/8 of an inch going the other direction. Should be pretty compact.Again, we do get the six screws that we need to get this attached, and there is a lifetime warranty on these from JR Products. But that's pretty much all there is to it for our RV cabinet door struts.
I hope this video has been helpful. Again, my name is Ellen here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.

RV cabinet door struts hold your cabinet doors open while you are looking for something or putting things away. This is exactly what I needed to have my cabinet doors swing up instead of swinging down.
Worked for my install. Doors to heavy so I added these to help the existing. Even these wouldn't support the glass as a single strut so they we installed on the right side of each cabinet. Thank you etrailer. Identical match!!
Perfect replacement for upper cabinet in my 2018 Tab320
Used in our RV on cabinet doors. Used one per door and worked fine. All of the spring- hinge options we looked at were expensive to do all of the doors. These were reasonably priced and very easy to install.

They still work great, no failures, no problems. I cant imagine loading, organizing, or using my camper cabinets without them.
We've been using the replacement for over a year now with no issues. They seem to be pretty good quality.

No issues. Works just as it should
It is just what I wanted.
Sturdy,easy install, functional.
I want to return this item. It does not hold the cabinet door up the way it should work. The pressure is too weak.

These struts are made of plastic and are meant to work with thin, light cabinet doors. For a metal option consider part # 37270545. They are a little sturdier strut. I will have our Customer Service team reach out.
Exactly what I needed with a quick delivery time.
Look good. Will install them on our RV soon.
Work well in our Rv.
Exact match for our camper. We had a couple original ones break because they weren't installed correct. You have to keep the screw a little loose on the end that pivots or they bind and break.
They work great and are easy to install
Exactly what we needed. Arrived quickly, on time as promised. They were an exact fit to what we were replacing on our 2006 motorhome.
Great product. Good instructions. Thank you.
1990 prowler parts are hard to find. This was an Exact fit and prompt delivery
Replacing original strut only because I broke one when I was remodeling my RV. Fits like original but is much weaker and doesn’t hold up the door like the others.
This was easy to find on website, arrived very quickly, and works great!
Very fast delivery
These are cool - hold the door open and closed - and they were cheaper than a folding hinge support! eTrailer was fast.
Fit perfectly and easily found. Website search needs a little help. Thanks!
These door struts are a more reliable replacement for the original struts. The original struts used an anchor stud that is prone to breaking whereas these new struts use a simple wood screw to anchor the bottom of the stud.
I am very satisfied with your company and your products I will continue to pass the word and buy from you
The 5 stars is for the excellent customer service. I had a question and received a reply in a matter of minutes. This is an exact replacement part to repair our cupboard and suspect it will perform well.
Very easy to install and work as advert ised
